I thought it was funny that the page is called Meeting Information/Directions and only a Google Map was available on the page. I added a Get Directions button that opens a page with the destination preloaded. All you have to do is click "Share Location" or if that is too scary for you type in your address. I also put it on the home page too.

Rob,

I like it.

Just an FYI, you missed the s on your club site link, but not on the directions link.

Great Stuff Rob!

One suggestion, unless most of your members arrive by boat, I would move the map over a bit, so you have more streets (land) and less water

One more thing, did you know you can make the TMI logo smaller? This will allow visitors to see your location more clearly. You just have to save it as a smaller jpeg, prior to uploading it to google. (I used a width of 34 pixels)

How did you customize your map? I googled it and found some really complicated looking code inserts and modifications. Didn't know if there was an easier way to do it through Google Maps.

Thanks!

I started with the documentation page on how to put the TI logo in place.

support.toastmastersclubs.org/club-websi...arker-in-google-maps

When you click on the customize and preview embedded map link it will open a new window.

You can re-center by mousing over the map and holding down the left mouse button. When you have the map centered the way you want drop it by releasing the mouse button. You can also use the arrow keys in the upper left corner of the map. The program automatically changes the HTML.

You can adjust the zoom by using the + and - buttons also in the upper left of the map.

Once you have it the way you want it, copy the HTML code below the map in the window and paste it to your Google Map IFrame box in the Default Pages tab.
