Browser issues in both Chrome and Internet Explorer

Yes, I can save the new role.

By default, new roles are created at the bottom of the agenda. After saving though, I cannot move the new role into place. Even if I save, close the overlay and re-open it, the newly created role is still at the bottom of the agenda and I still cannot move it. The mouse pointer never changes to the four-headed arrow that it used in Internet Explorer.

This behaviour is the same in both Chrome and Opera. And -- as I said above -- the website doesn't load at all in Internet Explorer although that is probably a separate issue.

Ideas?

PS: I've just tested Chrome again with no extensions enabled. Makes no difference.

PPS: Just tested in Firefox Portable and it works there.

So, in summary, the site doesn't work at all in IE 11 in Win 8.1. The agenda editing is crippled in the latest versions of Chrome and Opera in Win 8.1.

I guess I'll have to keep Firefox on hand for just this particular problem.

Michael,

I find this very strange. I develop system updates on Internet Explorer, so I absolutely know it works in Internet Explorer.

I am able to access your website without any issues.

Have you tried accessing your website from a different computer to check if you maybe have a local issue on your normal computer?

I think two separate issues are going on but maybe not. Three out of the four most common browsers are having issues with the website on my machine.

Not sure what information I can add... are you using IE 11.0.96 on Win 8.1?

Although I have other PCs they are older OSs with older versions of IE so wouldn't provide useful information. As I mentioned above in an earlier post, my previous versions of IE had no problem. I have IE set to update automatically, so something changed along the way.

As for my separate Chrome/Opera issue not working correctly with agenda editing... again not sure what info I can add. I turned off all my Chrome extensions... no go. Opera doesn't work correctly on it right out of the box. Only Firefox Portable did the trick... some script function is interpreted differently by Firefox than the other browsers is my guess.

As a final test, I turned off my avast! anti-virus software -- it has a website safety component -- in case it was somehow stopping certain scripts from running. Again, no effect on anything...

Can you use Drag & Drop in other applications? It seems some people have had Drag & Drop issues with Win8.1.
