Membership Management - Deleted MY PROFILE

Hello.

I was moving members to non-members in membership management, when not only did it delete me personally as a member (I didn't have a profile at all - I was taken off of the "Meet our Members" page), but there is no record of me whatsoever. So frustrating.

But also, I've lost all of our officers, and it will not allow me to re-save them. I tried re-enrolling myself personally, but as soon as I went into Membership Management and tried to tag myself as President again, it deleted my profile again, and put a former member as President. I am back to square one. (Lost my photos and everything, boo!)

Please help.

Ok, Amanda,

I believe I have your profile to where it is accessible to you again. It did not go anywhere... it was just a case of your name and contact info getting overwritten by a bug. (now fixed) You had Wendy Galloway's name and email on your profile. I also see her profile as being recently deleted... is that correct?

Your email address is gone. It will need to be reentered.

I reentered your name, so you should be able to access your profile via member login and reenter your contact info. Your password should still be good.

*** Please click the reload link the bottom of the screen and restart your browser to make sure you are running the latest code.

Your club officer assignments also got mangled by the bug. Those will need to be reset in Membership Management.

Please review your members info in MM and check your member assignments for upcoming Agendas.

I did delete Wendy Galloway, as she was showing up as President, but she was a Former Member. I attempted to move her to Former Member, and it wouldn't let me do it because it was a duplicate, so I just deleted one. Looks like they are both gone from Former Members now, but if that's the only loss I have, I'm not that concerned with it.

Thanks again. You are maintaining a huge site that THOUSANDS of people use, and it's certainly beyond most of our capabilities. Thank you for what you do!

The only thing is that Wendy Galloway may have role history as a Former Member, so if you delete her and then she becomes a member again, she would be starting from zero with the role history. She is probably still there, just not visible, since she is deleted. If you were to undelete her and make her a former member again, you shouldn't have a problem.

Re: maintaining the system. Fortunately, Brian and I understand databases pretty well, so between the two of us, we can usually sort these things out if people are not too hasty about taking their own actions.
