Our VPE is unable to login to the club website from her computer. But she can login from her iPhone.
This problem started after she got a new modem from Verizon. As VPE she needs to login to access the agendas.

She gets the following error on her computer when trying to login:

There was an error with your login -- the Session ID attached to your e-mail (AB5u6lCSau8BymKgbCmOHeaXC) was not valid. Please check to make sure the full link from the most recent email was sent when clicked.

davinp,

After your VPE follows Brian's directions, could you ask her to provide some more details on her setup?
In other words, what email software is she using, what operating system is she using, and what browser is she using? Also, could you post the link target here (as received in the email client) for my inspection?

We have had a few of these types of issues lately (more than I would expect) and I am concerned that they might be related to some of the "smart link protection" schemes that some email clients have implemented.
(e.g. MS Outlook) However, I need to get more information on these issues so that I can confirm or deny whether my suspicions are correct or not. It is not likely to result in a code change in the short term... I just need to collect some "data points" to see if there is a pattern/trend.

Brian: I think we need to be getting some more information about these issues to determine if they really are just cache/cookie issues or if they are related to link protection schemes. If the link protection schemes are becoming more prevalent in email clients, we may need to rethink how we approach the change password / initial authentication schemes for admin and members. (Not something I want to do unless absolutely necessary.) Pam has also mentioned a concern about link issues. For reference: I am wondering if the following thread may be related (link protection issue): support.toastmastersclubs.org/2011-10-23...s/31536-admin-access

The problem is her computer because I noticed I could login on my computer when I click the link in this email.
I just clicked the link and the error showed again

"Windows 7" only partially helps. What email client/software is she using (e.g. gmail, outlook, yahoo, etc.)?
