Send Basic Email to Recipients Sends to Multiple People in the Same Email

Since Prospects, Guests, Former Members, and Friends/Affiliates may not know each other, it seems like a bug to include them all in the same greeting with their email addresses shared in the same mass personalized email using variables (first name). Can you fix his to act like how recipients are one individual for personalized mass emails sent for agendas to the club with only one person's name and email per email? Otherwise, I have to export the contact info to a third-party software (e.g., MixMax, MailChimp) or move these people all into Members, which enables them to have access to private membership directory and resources unless it's temporary.

Where are you seeing this? Or are you just presuming that this is how it works? Have you seen this in emails as received?

The VPPR and I sent a test email using the variable of first name where she checked our names and we received an email greeting both of us in our personal email accounts. Hence, it shows two first names instead of one and the email addresses of both prospects or guests checked appear in the same email. It seems to operate differently from the mass personalized emails for the agenda.

Can you drop a screen shot here? I need to see what you are seeing. I know what the code is supposed to do (I wrote it) and what you are describing is not consistent with what the code is written to do.

Also, we will need your club number. We *always* need your club number.

Thanks for the quick response! I've attached the email and the template email with the variables. We selected two names and both appeared in the same email for each one of us as recipients.

I expected it to send one email to each recipient with only one person addressed in the greeting for personalization because these prospects and guests don't know each other and likely value privacy without their contact info being shared without their permission. Instead, it combined both guests and only truncated the name to the first name since we specified the firstname as a variable for the personalized mass email, which works like a charm for sending agendas.

We're #7850496.

To be clear, the code sends to each recipient individually from Send Basic Email. There is no mass email per se, where everything is grouped together in the TO address. We do not do that sort of thing.

This could be a variable expansion issue. However, there is no place in the code that I am aware of where I am concatenating first names with an "and".

I will look into this more tomorrow (Sunday).
