Can we eliminate the "Save As New Agenda" button?

Hi: Our one and only agenda template gives only the Toastmaster the ability to edit an agenda (I make the agendas ahead of time and then we assign a Toastmaster). However, new Toastmasters want to click "Save As New Agenda" instead of "Save." This makes a duplicate agenda for the same date and confuses the rest of the participants. Unhappy admin emoticon. Thank you for all your efforts.

1) without your club number we cannot assist you.
Please read ALL the documentation on the agenda, especially those parts on creating templates.

Hi Brian: I believe my club number #840 is displayed in my signature? I have read the documentation on Templates and see only that a role can be allowed to edit and agenda, but I don't see how to limit that function to so that more agendas cannot be created. Thanks, Jeff

Oh you can't, If you don't change the date when you do "save as" you will get multiples of same date. some clubs require the ability too have more that one agenda with the same date.

You will just have to teach your members how to use the agenda tool properly.

That button is there so that you can quickly make copies of an existing agenda where you can just change the date if need be. Perhaps I could change the text on the button if that would help. Maybe "Copy This Agenda"? I am open to changing the text on the button, but I will not remove the button or the functionality.

Thanks for thinking it through. I'm not sure. I see the value in the button and the way it's worded now and that any role can make agendas if they have permission vs. having one of the admins make agendas, but when my role user saves one with the same date, they don't have the permission to delete the copied agenda once they see their mistake. I don't want to upset the apple cart if most admins aren't making the agendas anyway. Is there anyway to warn the user from making an agenda with the same date? Thanks again Steve.
