In Pathways, the term protégé is used in place of mentee, so perhaps membership management could follow suit.

That change would break a group email address...

So any change of that sort would have to happen in a planned out way with lots of notice to clubs.

Why don't you just make it backwards compatible so both mentees@ and protege@ group e-mail addresses go to the same place? It'll seriously cause the least issues.

You can also make both protégé@ and protege@ go to the same place also. People from some countries are comfortable with typing é while some people from other countries aren't.

not doing accents in email addresses... that is a whole other can of worms that I absolutely will not touch.

So I made a number of changes to implement Protege ...

Both proteges-####@toastmastersclubs.org and mentees-####@toastmastersclubs.org are equivalent.

Not supporting accented characters for the email address as special characters are a big source of headaches.

I am considering this done and am closing this thread.
