Brian: Club #1436

ToastmasterRob: Can you please fix your forum signature so that it shows the correct club number?

It is very confusing to us if it is incorrect. We sometimes have trouble keeping track of who is with what club, and if your forum sig is incorrect, it just complicates matters since we do look at that. Directions for setting/fixing it are in my forum sig below.

Also, can you please make sure that the contact email is correct on Toastmasters Find A Club? Have a club officer go into Club Central and correct the contact email so that it is accurate.

If you do that, then you can just do the change request, and whoever is tied to the contact email on Find a Club can approve you as the admin since they get one of the two approval emails.

We do not like to override the process if at all possible... our preference is to have an established contact in your club approve the admin change.

Hi Brian,

I have updated my signature.

The Problem is no one else is going to fix anything on this site. My one other club member had access, and set a 2nd member as administrator, and he has never logged on. And has no intention to, he has never registered or signed in.

No current member is actually using this site. I have agreed to start using this website but have not been able to log on for months.

If an override is not possible, then I would start a new site and ask to dismantle the old Graybar Toasmaster site. The site has not been updated since March 2012.

I hope this makes sense.

You need to make sure the club updates their toastmasters.org contact information.

Any club officer can update this information.

Whoever's email is listed as the club contact there is the one that gets the second admin change authorization email.

I am sorry if this seems overly cumbersome... most clubs are able to make the admin change quickly once we point them in the right direction.

Ok, if you made the change on the TM Intl website, then whoever is listed there should get the 2nd authorization email.

If you now go and do a (another) new change request, one of the two emails should go to that email address listed there.

I think there is an approval link in the email, but I will let Roger and Brian describe what to do next, because I do not remember. :blush:

If I remember correctly, one doesn't need to sign in to approve someone. It's only necessary to click on the link in the approval email.
