In addition to Brian's excellent insights, consider the following...

When you attempt to log in, your login information is sent to the server for validation/verification.

Thus, there is an intentional data transfer happening with the server at that point. The server code is the judge of who gets logged in. Your firewall must allow for that data transfer with the FTH server located on the toastmastersclubs.org domain. No data transfer = no login.

You should request your corporate IT department to whitelist (for email) and set a firewall exception for toastmastersclubs.org

Otherwise, you will need to use the website from a non-company computer.

I'm wondering which parts of the site require Java to be up to date? I've seen a few weird things happening, but not repeatable enough to report – something like out-of-date Java might be the problem.
