I read: "feel free to save your webpages to a file on your computer with the new Save to File feature that has already been installed in the version 2.11 system for your use. Look for the drop down at the top right of the web page editors" If I don't will everything I have be lost?
I don't find the "save the file feature" ! Aida. Club 2798 and 2463

Go to any custom web page in the Custom Pages area of the admin panel, and you'll see an item called Web Page Tools, just above the page editor window on the right.

There is also one for the home page, in the website setting area, just above the page editor.

It's not compulsory to back up, and your information shouldn't disappear during the upgrade, but it's a good idea to do so regularly.

I see many people, and not just on these forums, who lost all their work because they accidentally did something to it. A good backup means that you can replace it easily.

Spare yourself anxiety and Backup your site regularly.

FYI... the entire database of club/district website information is normally backed up every four hours like clockwork.

The Save to File feature is located to the right and above any of the web page editors.

If you click on the Home Page tab or the Meeting Information tab and look just above and to the right of the editor box, you will see the drop down with the Save to File feature. It is also located in the Custom Web Pages module.

The whole database is backed up every 4 hours.

Membership management can just be copied/pasted to a text file.

Any form filler (e.g. RoboForm, Keepass, Lastpass, etc.) tool can be used to save contents of forms.

Got it but the profiles do not reflect completely in the membership file..things like hobbies, other info that is captured..and profile pics, social media links etc.
Not a huge deal as you say everything is backed up every few hours..
I guess if there is a problem post upgrade..it will be systemic and not club specific..so I know u guys will have it fixed :cheer:
Asked mainly so I could get all the clubs in the district to backup transnational type info ..profiles, agendas etc if that was available..As a best practice

all the best with the upgrade...and thanx guys for a fabulous service you provide

cheers

I remember what happened to me twice, all the emails and phones from our former members were gone, I still can't
figure out why this happened
, and the only way I could replace them is one by one, what the support group did for me is to give me the list so I could do it, it was such a tedious job.
So, my question is: What can be done so it doesn't happen again?

Hello Jane,
I tried to back up the files for our Alpharetta Toastmasters Club 4941, but I was only able to retrieve them as Chrome HTML files. If for some reason, we loose our files on Thursday November 20th when the upgrade takes place, will the Chrome HTML suffice as a means to re-integrate?
Thank you for any help you may offer.
Sincerely,
