Hi

I am having the same problem in the minutes pages- résumé de la soirée. I used to paste the text in the space and then save.
Now, when i paste, the page scrolls down but nothing is pasted. I attached a screen shot of the page i needed the text to be on.

Thanks for hints..

Incorrect ... different issue.

Please do not pile on another persons thread. I creates confusion and makes them get all the replies directed at you.

I will look at this shortly.

Please give us your browser type and version.

That is fine. We are here to help. Sometimes we just have to play the "traffic cop" role to keep everything manageable.

Thank you very much for taking the initiative to provide your browser info via the link. It really helps. :)

I have several issues I am working with right now... so I beg your patience.

Ok I was able to load, modify, and save text in Safari for Windows. Not necessarily the same as Safari for Apple, but I do not have an Apple computer.

When you say you are pasting ... What exactly are you pasting from? Straight text or a Word Doc?

in the older version I used to just copy from the word directly and paste it on the page and job is done.

I tried 3 ways but none worked.
1- same as for the older version, going to word doc , copy and back to the page and paste
2- using the box in the toolbar of the page to copy from word
3- using the box in the toolbar of the page to copy a text

The problem occurred not only to me, on my computer, coz another colleague-not using a mac- tried to copy paste and did not work neither.

Pasting from Word is sometimes unreliable, and we do not control that. We did not develop the editor.

Are you able to *type* something in the editor and save it ok? I am trying to figure out if this is a pasting issue or a saving issue.

I understand your point, but what I am pointing to is that the paste behavior for the webpage editor is not something I have any real control over. That editor is developed by someone else and we basically "plug it in" to our system.

I know that the developer of the webpage editor is working on improving the pasting behavior, particularly pasting from Word, but right now, I cannot vouch for the reliability of that editor feature.

There is an update to the editor that I have not yet downloaded from that developer's website and installed. I was waiting to get the other issues worked out with the FTH update first. Your situation may improve once I have installed the editor update. I hope to do that in the next few days or so.

Until I install the editor update and we see whether that helps or not, the only workaround I can give you is to first paste into a simple text editor like Notepad, then copy / paste from there into the webpage editor. I know that it removes the formatting, but it is the Word formatting that messes up the webpage editor.

Excellent! Thank you for your patience and thank you for letting us know. :) As I noted previously and recently set an Admin Message about, I installed the editor update. Apparently, that fixed the problem.

The developer of the editor is working to make further improvements to the pasting behavior. Please keep aware of when I install future editor updates to know when there might be future improvements.

I am going to close out this thread.
