I have been updating member profiles and everything has been working fine except when I try to update my own profile. I have tried it under my user name and as administrator, neither works. Whenever I make a change and click on "Save", it seems to work, but when I click on "Close" I get a dialog box that says "unsaved changes - The unsaved changes are highlighted. Do you want to save these changes?" It does this even though I already saved the changes. The dialog box gives me "Yes", "No", or "Cancel" options. No matter which one I select, the changes I made go back to whatever the original text was. (or if it was a blank box originally, it goes back to being a blank box).

I need you to tell me exactly what steps you took when this happened. Also, which browser and version are you using? Did you try doing a reload using the link a the bottom of the screen? Also, screen shots sometimes help us understand what is going on.

Have you tried to edit your profile without going through Membership Management? Does that work for you? I am just trying to sort out what does and what does not work for you.

When you edit your profile, are you logged in as just a member or member and admin?

Originally I was logged on as administrator. I clicked on "Launch Admin Console" and selected the "Membership Management" module. Then, for each member individually I clicked on "View/Edit Profile". I scrolled down to where I could add the date each member joined the club and added their join date and TI membership number. As I did that for each member I clicked on "Save" and then clicked on "Close"

When I took the identical steps for my own name, whenever I would click on "Close", the dialog box I mentioned below popped up and the two boxes with the join date and membership number were highlighted in yellow. I click on the "Yes" option and the "Edit Your Member Profile" box closed. I opened it again to see if the added text remained. It did not. The boxes were blank again. For all the other members I edited, everything worked fine. I tried it several times following the identical step. Same thing each time. I then logged out as administrator and signed in as a member. I clicked on "Edit Your Profile" and scrolled down to where I could enter my membership date and membership number, clicked on save and it acted as if the data was saved but again, when I clicked on "Close", the same thing happened as when I tried as administrator. The Edit box closed and when I reopened it to see if the added text was still there. Once again it was not, both boxes were blank again. I then clicked on "Member Bio/Photo to correct some typos and the same thing would happen. I'd click on "Save". It acted as if the changes were saved, but when I clicked on "Close" the dialog box came up again asking if I wanted to save and the paragraph in which I made the changes was highlighted in yellow (the whole paragraph, not just the corrections". When I clicked on "Yes" the edit box closed and when I reopened it all text was back to original. No corrections were made.

I am using Google Chrome as the browser. I don't know the version. To the best of my knowledge it's the latest one. I did not try my Internet Explorer Browser. I also did not try doing a reload. I did not realize there was one. I will try that and I will see if things will work in Internet Explorer

Ok, I took a look, and it looks like you have errors in your Facebook URL and LinkedIn URL.
Those must be an http:// url, not your name. Not sure how you were able to save those like that.

If you just save your profile without adding anything, you should see the error messages.

Try fixing or deleting those, and see if you are then able to update your profile.

That's interesting! When I just checked Social Links tab, it has my Facebook link as "www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Wilmington-Exp...ters/149566615055167". I never entered a LinkedIn URL and the tab shows a blank box for LinkedIn.

Ok, I think you misunderstand.

There are social links for the club, and each member profile has a social links tab, also. The member's social links show up in the Meet Our Members page. (that is the only place)

The social links for the club are as you describe. However, if you go into your member profile and click the Social Links tab for your member profile, you will see the problem that I describe.

BTW, I used to live in Wilmington, OH, in the 1990s. I worked at the old Crysteco silicon wafer plant. Small world! ;)

Changing the social media information did the trick. Thank you very much. I don't remember entering information in those blocks, didn't realize they were there.

My family moved to Wilmington in 1997. My wife and I really like it here, even with the financial devastation that occurred in 2009 with DHL leaving and ABX Air having to terminate 90% of their 10,000 employee work force, most of them locals. Things seem to be coming back though. The city and it's people are pretty resilient.

Thanks again for the fix. It sure had me puzzled.
