club number 03119366 has new club officers. I am trying to login on the site admin to create agenda for up coming meeting. Can not access. Club is maybe three years old but the first VPPR is no longer a member nor can be contacted for the information. The club president and alternate at the time have different email addresses and are on Summer vacation. How can I get a new password as site administrator for this club?

Good morning. I de what Brian said to do. I contact TI and all club officer changes were completed. Your records and TI are not syncing. This club has been trying to get this site on line for over a year. Now I am trying to get it done.

1) We are not part of Toastmasters International, we have no access to any information about your club or members except what is publicly available through find a club.

2) You need to manually update your officers via the Admin console and membership management pull down.

I contact TI and all club officer changes were completed.


You also need to make sure the contact email is updated on the TI site. See the documentation here: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/u...s-international-site

Your admin change request will go to that address for authorization. It will also go to the president and website admin currently listed on your club website, but it seems that in your case they are no longer active, so you will have to wait for the TI contact to be updated.

Good morning, club 3119366, that had been done. TI update their info yesterday. Is there a access code for initial website administrator? I really don't know if the website admin ever did anything on the site because there is nothing no reports available.

We have pending change requests initiated by you in our database--I can see the requests you initiated.

What needs to happen next is that Kathy Morrow needs to look for the approval email that the system generated and sent to her. It may have ended up in her spam/junk mail folder... please request that she looks for it there, also. The email subject will be "FreeToastHost 2 Upgrade Request".

In the email, there is a link that Kathy needs to click to approve the change from the prior admin to you. Once Kathy clicks the link, the change will be made immediately, and you will receive a confirmation email with further details about how to get into the system.

Club 319366. Part of the token is that Kathy can not receive email at that address it was comprised an she no longer uses it. Was she the signed web administrator?

If you are referring to the kat2morrow email address, then yes, that is the email address listed for the approval link.

I realize that this process may seem a bit cumbersome for the uninitiated, but we have good reasons for it.

Basically, the process is that you request a change in administrator (to you), and the system sends emails containing approval links to the email addresses associated with people that can approve the change: the former admin, the email address listed in find a club, and (recently added) the club president. This ensures that someone unknown to the club does not get control of the website.

At least one of those emails must be accurate, and at least one of the approval links in those emails must be clicked to make the change actually happen.

>>> My recommendation would be that if you have access to club central as a club officer, then just make your email address be the club contact email address (you can change it back later if you want), then do the change request, and you would then get one of the approval link emails... you could approve the change yourself.

This is basically the method we outline in the docs that we sent you the links to. I do not know if you read those docs, but please do that when we send you a link to a doc.

When you say that free toast host is not recognizing your email... I am a little puzzled.

Where (what web page, what form, etc.) are you typing your email in that it is not being recognized?


BTW, you can make getting website support a little easier if you just put your club number in your forum signature. See the link in my forum signature for how to do that.

I went to club central and added my email address Sunday evening. Called TI and we changed and verified my name and email with their documents
to reflect the same information on club meeting information on the club web page.

Ok, well the contact email address that is showing on your club's find a club page: www.toastmasters.org/Find-a-Club/0311936...handle-advanced-club is the kat2morrow email address.

You can see that by hovering your mouse over the blue Email the Club button on the Find a Club page. (look at the email address that shows at the bottom left when you hover your mouse over the blue button) That is the contact email address that matters to us. It can be changed via Club Central on the meeting information page. Here is our doc on changing that: support.toastmastersclubs.org/doc/item/u...s-international-site

So regardless of what you did or did not do with TI, the bottom line is that you need to change that email address to one that can receive the email containing the approval link.

Don't put so much faith in TI when it comes to website related stuff. They mean well, but frankly, they are not always very well informed when it comes to assisting members with club website matters.

DTM Morrow emailed she does not have access yahoo shut her out plus she runs the risk of new computer problems. She is going to contact this site. Can you delete the current web page then create a new one with current information?

It will not matter... you will still have to go through the approval process with a new website.

I recommend that you stay on the current course.

I understand however the problem lies with TM Morrow' old email address and she is not will to corrupt her computer again by accessing it. any other recommendation?

It does not matter. If you changed the TI contact email address to be your address, then she is no longer needed to make the change.
