When I go to print the multiple meeting sign-up sheet, I see that some agenda items I would like to move around so that they fit with the way the agenda lays out.

Is there a way to order the items in the multiple meeting sign-up sheet?

I see that when I go to the excel version it has them in the order of the agenda.

The ordering is an "amalgamation" of the 5 agendas represented. This is a requirement of representing the 5 agendas in a table/grid with only one set of roles at the left to represent all 5 agendas.

It should only show sign-up roles from the agendas.

The code tries a "best ordering" compromise to represent the best ordering for the 5 agendas overall.

If your 5 agendas are consistent in roles, the meeting sign up sheet will correctly represent all 5 agendas.

If the 5 agendas are not consistent, then the "best ordering" logic kicks in, and you may get some unexpected results.

For best results, always use an agenda template to keep your agendas consistent as much as possible.

The Excel version does not show all agendas in the same grid, so the roles can correspond exactly to each agenda. (a key difference)

This makes sense as to the reasoning and that the root issue is probably my agendas.

I currently use an agenda template when creating the agendas, so the 5 agendas should have the same layout/consistent roles. I have verified using the excel roles report, that to me, the roles appear to be consistent, but maybe you notice something wrong?


I do use the *Toastmaster* (asterisks around role names) to represent the same role throughout the same agenda, so maybe this could be causing a problem as well. This is only for some of the roles though as others only appear a single time and don't require the asterisks. Maybe I need to add asterisk to all roles even if they only appear once?

What else in the agendas should I look for that could be causing this?

Ok, the issue was that the code was not liking the way you were wording some of your roles...

Specifically, the "by Toastmaster" style phrasing. It was expecting to find the keywording for keyworded roles as the beginning of the phrase. (I kept it that way to be consistent with legacy code from a prior developer.)

The unfortunate fact is that a lot of what the code does is text parsing, and some assumptions have to be made about the text people will use in order to make the code workable.

However, I recognize that requiring the keywording to be at the start is probably unrealistic, so I made some changes.

Keep in mind that for a sign-up sheet, the objective is to only show one signup row for each keyworded role. (no redundancy)

Also, the "left most" agenda really drives the role ordering in the sign up sheet, since it is the first agenda examined.

It looks exactly as expected now regarding the ordering.
Thanks for your help at looking at this and changing the way the code worked to address the way our template is laid out.
Hopefully more than just our club will benefit from this change.
