G. Day Topic Author Visitor	Recently images are not showing in emails sent from our website. In the past images (like our club letterhead) displayed without a problem. What happened? I would have to see what the underlying html code is... specifically for the img tags that point to the pictures.

When did you start having the problem?

I did download and install an update to the editor from the developer's website, but that should not have affected images... :unsure:

Taking note of your reference to the html code I ran a quick test. I learned that inserting the image using the CKEditor browser abbreviates the image URL (drops the custom domain name ie:http://www.humormasters.com). Inserting the full image URL displays the image properly.

In the code shown below, the first image does not display in emails. The second (same image - using the full URL) displays properly.

Thank you very much! That helps a lot! I think all the editor stuff is set up presuming that images will be inserted in websites... the shortened version would be fine for that. However, the longer version is definitely needed for email.

We use the shortened version intentionally for websites in case the website address is changed (e.g., alias or custom domain name change), so everything still works. However, for email, it has to be "self-contained" and all references must be fully-qualified.

I will work on getting this addressed in the code during the next week.

Ok, I made a small change in the code for the emails to try to force any image references to use the entire address.

Could you please see if this works for you?
