I am the President and web admin of our club. Yesterday my VP Education told me that she had made a mistake in the "Assign Mentors" and asked if I could help fix it. I was surprised as I had never seen, or heard of this form and could not find it other in my regular view or the admin screen. Today we discovered that she sees the "Assign Mentors" entry in the Members Only section and I do not. Presumably it is only visible to the VP Ed. Is this correct? Is it visible via the admin screens?

The error was that the VP Ed had got some mentor/mentee pairs the wrong way round. Can she or I fix this?

Well, the system defines a "mentoring program manager" that defaults to the VPE. This is the same person that receives the emails from the mentor request form (in the Members only menu). Again, it defaults to the VPE, but if your club defines someone else to head up your mentoring program (like my club does), you can change it in Email and Contact Forms (mentoring form tab). You can also enable the same person (VPE or someone else) to get a direct link to the Assign Mentors form. If you are a well established club, having a more senior member be the mentoring manager can be a good way to strengthen the program while lightening the load on your club VPE. (My club's mentoring manager is a DTM.)

If you are not that person, you just need to have access to Membership Management, since that is really where the "home" for the form is... it is on the Membership Tools menu. The direct link is just a shortcut so someone who does not have access to Membership Management (and may not be a club officer) can access the Assign Mentors form.

You can make changes to the mentors assignments as you wish with the Assign Mentors form. The only catch is that if you enable sending out mentoring notifications, those emails cannot be "undone".

The mentoring features were a strategic addition to FTH v2.2 to better align the system with the TI Revitalized Education which emphasizes more mentoring.

Got it - thanks. I found the mentoring set up on membership management - and the reports - and fixed the problem. Also learned something new!
