We have been using the twop standard templates that our club was provided for a newsletter.

I would currently like to create a new style newsletter which is similar to a church bulletin style so
we can provide more information and allow for our newsletter to be sent to local colleges and universities
and business organizations.

I would like a half fold 11 x 17 template or style.

I would like to see if anyone has such a template or file so that I do not have to reinvent the wheel.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hello there and thank you for coming here and asking.... You can do that in Word or InDesign... Create your newsletter and when ready to print, that is when you state what size you want to print. I have done several newsletters for two of my clubs. Check them out! Simi Valley Toastmasters and Au Jus TM.

I am really looking for an easy template as not every person who will be using it can understand what we need.

As I said I am looking for a church like bulletin. A small booklet type pamphlet
Front cober, rear support page and interior looking for two pages that can be easily edited for
a new editor to assist in developing leadership sjills and proficiency in PR and education.

I was truly hoping to find even a non toastmaster template that can be easily edited to easily meet Toastmaster branding guidelines.

Some people find Adobe Indesign and Publisher a bit difficult.

I am trying to use the K.I.S.S. protocol (Keep it simple stupid!) not that anyone is stupid, but it is a protocol I have learned and used
most of my life.

Thank you but that is the format that we currently use.

We are looking expand it to a church bulletin like newsletter that has fur pages.
I am unwilling to pay for a software package that will do this form and format without difficulty
I know that somewhere such a template exists.

Once again thank you

CJ, when you say "easy", you have to accept that you will probably not have a very good looking newsletter. Easy and "looks great" usually don't apply to the same documents.

If you are looking to do this on a landscape 11 x 17 page double sided, then you just do a two column table to lay out the text., with the divider between the columns as the fold.

I am moving this to general discussion, as this is not really related to FreeToastHost. If you need more assistance, you probably should talk to someone who does newsletters with ms word.

If you use the booklet format in Word, it will create the booklet type newsletter that you are looking for.

Do a search for "booklet" in the help in your version of Word and you will get all the directions that you need. We use this format at church and I have used it for other newsletters. Works great.

That is exactly what I meant when I said to use Word. You can fold and ask the printer to print in any format you say. That is really easy.
