Sorry if I am being redundant here
Could anyone update us on whether there will be a way sometime soon to make our FTH pages mobile friendly?
Or does someone have a workaround suggestion.

Thanks

I am the lead developer. It is on our to-do list.

However, most users do not really have an idea about what *they* will need to do to make their content mobile-friendly. That is really the issue.

Thanks Steve,

My greatest concern is that with more and more traffic going to mobile devices we are enticing people to visit us via that method and obviously the page is not compatible.
Maybe it might be a good idea to tailor changes toward google mobile--which appears to driving much of the traffic.
I would imagine the solution is to streamline or hide many items usually found on the left side column (club officers, schedules, etc) that might not work as well with a mobile set-up.

Thanks again,

I do not think you are getting the point I made, so let me be a bit more specific.

We can do a responsive page layout... a few hiccups, but very doable.

However, as the system is essentially a content management system that merges our custom template with user content, the user content must be made responsive as well. We avoid touching user content... it sets a bad precedent... it is a set up for people blaming us for problems in their content that we did not cause.

So if a user puts a photo in their page that does not scale, and yet our template is responsive, we still end up with a result that is not really what is intended...

So the real crux of the issue is how to handle user *content* that is not responsive. Most users really do not know what responsive design is and they do not care about it.

Get it?

My current thinking is to possibly to do a "spell checker" type of thing or just out right show some warnings about the content.

Got it.
Thanks for the clarification and the example.
I have a greater appreciation for the functionality you hope to achieve.
Please let me know if you need a web site for future mobile testing.
Thanks again
