I've often been caught out by this. You have to click the "Start Year/Month" option as well as enter the date. If you enter the date but have one of the other options selected, the start date will be ignored.

Suggestion to Steve: Is it possible to force the option on when a date is entered, and clear the date when another option is selected?
This catches me almost every time.

I don't understand. I tried all 3 date options for the spreadsheet and the resulting reports gave exactly the same counts on all three reports, same as ALL option. Attached current year results show counts that match the ALL report.
We usually use the "Current Year" option to produce the spreadsheet.

My apology - you are right - I checked the Role Report, not the new "Meeting Role Tally".

The Meeting Role Tally is reporting on all dates, regardless of the period selected

Ok, I think there was some confusion on this. (not really a bug) Basically, the role tally was never including the date filter from the settings form in the output xls, so unless you actually checked its tally, there was really no way to know what was actually included. The date that was shown the report previously was actually the date that the report was generated, *not* the date filter selected from the form.

In any case, I have tweaked the settings form and the role tally report.

On to other things...

Please, could you change the default for the speadsheet report to generate the counts for current year only?
It's really not useful the way it is to track current participation. (I ran the old spreadsheet for years and was able to use any of the 3 date options .)

Note: In the spreadsheet, it lists the selection parameters at the bottom. Why would it include "Date Selection" if it didn't apply to this report option?

Try putting "?config=test" after your club url in the address bar to run the test code... you will see what I mean.

It might have been fixed 9 months ago, but it doesn't look like the "Start Date" option for the Role Tally Report is working now. I administer two club websites, and both produce a Role Tally since Year 1 no matter what Start Date I choose.

Hmmm. It does not appear to be fixed on my end. Do I need to do something to see the fixed code? I have tried restarting browser and website login (and it still appears to ignore the date I specify). To be specific, I am choosing "Meeting Role Tally (xls)", "Report for: All", "Select Start Date: 2017-04-01". Thanks for helping! -- Ken K
