Our new VPE at Cap City figured out a neat way to compress the agenda, into the Role / Agenda Item Description for *General Evaluator*
In edit mode, the Description field looks like this.
Evaluation of Speech #1.............................................

Evaluation of Speech #2.............................................

Timer's Report.............................................................

Ah Counter/Grammarian Report.................................

Wordmaster's Report..................................................

General Evaluation.....................................................


This looks great and saves space in the printed agenda, and names can be inserted manually by editing the field before printing, or just written in later if we forget to edit. We also use non-printing agenda items for Evaluator #1 and #2, *Timer*, etc to allow people to sign up for these roles.
Is there a code we can use to insert the names assigned to Evaluator #1 and #2, *Timer*, etc into the Description field?

Doing it that way will not update the role reports or sign up sheet.

Not sure what you mean by this - the setting to allow members to sign up for a role is "This is a role for which members can sign up".
They can sign up for a sign-up role whether it is a printed or not.

If you're trying to save space on the agenda, a better method might be to include your "description", and also add the actual roles as non printing roles. That way there is no need to insert the names manually - they can be assigned by VPE or Toastmaster or other authorised member, or signed up for by the member. The names will show on the reports as well as the online or emailed version of the agenda . The only downfall is that they won't show on the printed agenda.

You could save space by not having "Toastmaster of the day introduces Table Topics master" as a role item.

You can also save space by only having speakers fill in title of speech and introduction and only having the other roles available as sign up roles...
