Hi, I am the new webmaster for Empire Toastmasters - club#4461.

Is there a way to use other fonts in the website, other than the ones available within the console? For example, I'd like to use TW Cent. But when i wrote my text in word and tried to copy it into the editor, I lost the font type. Any suggestions, ideas and very welcome.

Thank you!

You would have to use source view for that and do a font-family reference. I would recommend just referencing one of the many Google or other public fonts: fonts.google.com/ I believe that they are readily available.

Thanks for your reply.
By using your suggestion, will i be able to change the font on the entire website including the preset font on the Menus, and other small title-bars etc?

Also,
Is there any way to change the color of the title-bars i.e. the grey and the blue where it says Main Menu, Members Only, Making Lunch-time meetings convenient, skill-building and fun!, Logins, Podcasts etc.

Thank you much!

Ok, no you will not be able to do all that... you can change fonts for your content, but not the template. That is defined by TM branding standards, and I am not going to change the styles of the individual theme definitions. You can set one of the available themes and colors for many page elements on the Apearance tab of the Admin Console... please take a look at that tab--it may help you.

Gotcha! Yes - -i have the current theme and colors selected from the options available in that tab. I just wanted to about the flexibility with fonts, as i didnt see the option for that there. Thanks for your answers. They help. Good to know.

Also, thanks for points me to google fonts. They are awesome!! I have a few more questions on fonts.

(These might be very basic questions - and i apologize for them) I have not had practice with html and/or css in a long, long time. Only looking at it for TM website. So, if this is too much to ask of you, it would be very helpful if you would recommend open source websites with already developed helpful codes.

1. How to import a new font in the website?
a. while researching for this, it seems like stylesheets might be my answer, but i am not sure.
b. if stylesheets, then where do i define them in the ckeditor?
2. Is there any way to apply a new imported font to all the content of the website, instead of doing individual pages?

Thank you much!

Yeah, I would go with style sheets or more likely style blocks. There is no way to do that globally... again, we are trying to adhere to the TM branding.

The way FTH is designed is specifically to alleviate users from having to get into the dirty details. So, while that makes it easier to set up a website, it makes it bit more challenging for those who want to do more advanced stuff. (Most users will not get into style sheets.)
