I have been able to learn to add photographs of our participants to the opening page. However i am unable to add text next to the photo to add the notations. Teach me in simple words. HKumar

If you right click on the image when in edit mode, you should see a small popup box with options for cut / copy / paste and image properties.
Choose image properties. In the box that opens up choose the bottom option "align". If you choose left your typing will show to the right, and if you choose right, it will show to the left. Put a number (I suggest 10) in the VSpace box to force a margin between the image and the typing.
