We are beginning to create our club website and was curious (as I haven't been able to find a topic on this) if there was a blog component that was available to tie in to our website? Still learning the ins and outs, but couldn't find any details so far. Many thanks for any feedback!

FTH does not have a "blog". There are many different 3rd party websites that offer a blog. You can link to them from your FTH website.

Michael !!!

There are a lot of suppliers that can offer a free site. While they're limited, they're usually enough to support a club blog. WordPress is a common website framework, and most of these folks offer WordPress. My club has just recently started playing with a blog, and it's linked to our FTH site as Brian has suggested. (You might want to consider a different hosting service than ours, but that's another story...)

WordPress requires you to select a "Theme," often produced by a third party, which becomes part of your site. We use Weaver Xtreme, which is also free, and can be set up to vaguely mimic the look of FreeToastHost, so visitors aren't immediately aware they're bouncing between two different websites.

I can see a blog is convenient to have. When you have something lengthy to say, a dedicated page on FTH does the job. Something short goes well on Facebook. All those in-between pieces are fine for a blog post.

Best of luck...

Wes B.
