I am an Area Director from District 63, am also Administrator for my home club (2976) and am not able to receive emails from my district. Could this issue be related to the opt-in /out requirements that new members must adhere to. I am not a new member but am a new district leader. By the way the District use Constant Contact for their communication. I know this is a long shot but I am grasping for explanations/solutions.

You need to provide more information.

When you say you are not able to receive emails from your District, what email address are they sending from and to?

Not seeing anything in our logs from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., but that does not surprise me.

In my experience as a past district officer, districts get actual email address lists from TM WHQ and use those for communications... e.g., I do not think they use FTH provided email addresses for communications, so we are not part of that equation (in my experience). Brian will probably have some thoughts on this also, since is a past District Director.

Technically, if FTH is not part of the cause of the problem, I could just stop here, but here are some of my thoughts anyway...

My suggestion is to verify that your email address in your TM member profile is still correct. If it is wrong, you will need to inform your district to update it on their end, also. I believe that districts typically only get the contact information from TM WHQ periodically.

Additionally, I would strongly advise you to check your junk email folder. Keep in mind that since the emails are coming from some place other than FTH, you may need to white list that sending address (from Constant Contact), which could be a "relay" email address analogous to the way the FTH server is a "middle man" for FTH provided email addresses.

They are indeed using email listing supplied by TM WHQ to update their email distribution lists in Constant Contact and mentioned it in their correspondence with me. However the email address being used by WHQ is the same that is listed on FTH distribution lists which WHQ also uses to send me their monthly "Leader Letter" newsletter. I have verified my emailon my profile and also checked in junk mail which doesnt show any correspondence from the District. I use this email address in all TM correspondence. What is "whitelisting" and how do I whitelist a sending address.

You will need to talk to Comcast about how to whitelist (mark as a safe sender) the email address from Constant Contact. It has nothing to do with FTH.
