Is it safe to put ZOOM address on opening page for newcomers or should it be hidden - available only by request
IE. Should ZOOM address be publically available
A person in our club thinks it should be openly available.
Is there a general protocol across TM regarding this matter? I am concerned about nefarious ambitions by outsiders.

We are NOT Toastmasters International, go to their website and check with them.
It is not up to us if you put your zoom address and password on a publicly viewable page.
You should be asking zoom what the best secure methods of using zoom are.

One thing you might consider doing is putting the Zoom address in bold text in the custom closing text for the Contact Us form.

The advantage of this approach is that a person must actually contact the club, but you do not need to remember to tell them what the Zoom address is. (They will see it in the closing text.)

Being required to actually contact the club to get the Zoom address should be a bit of a barrier to those who have less than honorable intentions for joining the Zoom meeting.

That's a good idea Steve! I have a custom closing message on the contact us box but I hadn't thought of putting the Zoom address there.

My 2 cents for anyone perusing this topic; When District 10 offered Zoom training sessions last Spring they didn't give a definitive yes/no on this question but pointed out the potential risk as mentioned on this thread. Our site requests an introduction contact to receive the Zoom meeting into.
