David Lamar's "Take A Chance" speech is motivating and makes you want to take a chance. First winning our clubs speech contest, Lamar went on to again win the Area 16 International Speech Contest and Table Topics Contest. While representing Area 16, Lamar ended winning second place at the Division A International Speech contest.</p>

<p style="width: 612px; margin-left: 18px;">With a tough competition Kip Dobbs won the 2017 Humorous speech Contest. As Contest Master Carlos Greene, ACS, ALB, opened the contest with eight contestants. Dobbs survived and gave the funniest speech of the day. Dobbs told the story of his grandfather teaching him life lessons. Either learning the value of a dollar by selling snakes to learning how to create gravel from rocks using his Thor like sledgehammer. In which he still has today. Dobbs also shared his compassion for homeless people. Were is organization helps feed and clothe the city of Atlanta. With his award winning stories and humor, The Real Toastmasters of Tucker would like to congratulate Kip Dobbs on being the 2017 Humorous Speech Contest Winner.</p>

On <strong>August 29th</strong> had a Back To School Theme meeting. Our goal was to collect a box of school supplies to give. We were able to collect and give out over 600 items to students for the year.</p>

<p>We had a showdown with Veterans vs Rookies. New members Jeremiah Bohn and Cameron Hines went up against veterans Kipp Dobbs and James Vincent. In our first contest James and Cameron competed in the Evaluation Contest. The contest guest speaker, Carlos Green speech was evaluated by the two. In our second contest the Humorous Contest. Jeremiah and Kipp went head to head in a close battle.</p>
