We had this same problem occur to two members in our club. The first member was involuntarily moved on July 6, 2022. After this event, we changed the website admin password as a precaution. The second member was moved July 14. Both members are experienced Toastmasters. I find it highly unlikely that both accidentally requested to be moved to Former Members.

Without your club number, and the affected members' first names, we can't check them specifically.
Your problem is unlikely to be the same as the one you referred to - that was specific to an email address.
Are your members forwarding FTH emails to non-members?  If they click on the "no-longer a member" link, the original sender will be moved to the former members list.
A new process has been put in place to prevent this from happening - the member being moved will be sent an email to confirm that they actually want to be moved.
