Before I start...thanks for all that you do for Toastmasters Clubs around the world.  I'm grateful when I can use the demo website for training purposes.

My questions are related to Role reports vs the number of times a member has been assigned a role on the agenda.
-  Should I conclude that the number of times (in brackets) a role has been assigned to a member is based on when the member joined the club?
-  Is the role report's accuracy based on the agenda being reconciled?
Your answers will help me understand how we can create accurate role reports.

Thanks,

It all comes from past agendas in the system for the particular club in question.  The agendas contain the raw data used for the reports.  That is why we generally do not recommend deleting past agendas and we do recommend reconciling them after meetings.

If a member joined the club prior to the oldest agenda in the system, then the number of times the member has done the role may not be accurate vs reality.  Again, treat your past agendas like important pieces of information.

Yes you do need agendas to be reconciled for reports to be accurate.   If fact, that is what motivated me to put the "Mark as Reconciled" checkbox and the pop-up prompt in the system in the first place.  People were not reconciling their agendas in the past, yet they still expected the reports to be accurate.  (unrealistic)

Thanks for the prompt reply, Steve.  My final question (I hope), is it possible to obtain an accurate report for this TM year without reconciling previous years?  I want a role and attendance report.

Thanks for your reply, Brian.  Like I thought, I have one other question.  Will this TM report be compromised (inaccurate) if I rectify a previously reconciled meeting agenda?

Thanks,

The other thing is that the reconcile feature is just a marking/tracking feature to help vpeds keep track of what has been reconciled and what has not.  It does not affect the underlying agenda data at all.  You can always go back and update it if you have the right access privileges. (E.g., you are a vped)
