Good morning,

As VPE, I am unable to send emails (with agendas/schedules) to club members via the club website after hitting "send". I have tried sending emails from admin login as well as from my member account. I was able to send an email a few months ago from the admin login account, but now, I am not able to do so. I have also checked my Spam folder to see if the emails arrived there. Nothing is in the spam folder.

Club: 8714
Club name: Komen Toastmasters.
Club website: komen.toastmastersclubs.org
Name: Carmen Spann
Role: VPE

Thanks!

I logged in as you Carmen. Things I noticed.

1) there are no new agendas created, last one was August 15 2020
2) you can not send from agendas that do not exist, you have to create all the dated agendas for your club using the agenda templates you created.
3) once an agenda is created you should not delete it as it will cvontain the history of what was done at your club meetings.

Checking the email log I do not see any emails from your This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. email address.
if you are getting bounces what is the error?
What email address are you emailing to?

Thank you,

Thanks for responding.

In the past couple of months or so, I sent an agenda via the website (FTH) by:
  • Creating an agenda (word document).
  • Uploading that agenda to a folder (document file)
  • Opening an email and creating a hyperlink to the file within the body of the email
  • Sending the email to the team
After a couple of attempts, I was able to successfully send the email to the team. I verified that an email from FTH was sent to my yahoo account. The hyperlink worked and everyone was able to access the agenda.

I tried to duplicate the process by sending a schedule (excel spreadsheet) via the website. I followed the same steps as previously mentioned, but to no avail. I then tried to send a test email to the VPE (me) from the admin account as well as my personal Komen TM account.  Nothing was transmitted to my yahoo account. I checked the spam.

You are doing this in Membership Management > Send Basic Email, right? If so, your process looks ok.

After hitting the send button are you seeing the 'E-mail Sent!' message in a dialog box?

Since you're the admin you should receive two copies of this email if the recipient group also includes you as a member. (such as officers). The copy sent to the site administrator has the subject prefixed with (Confirming Email).

Maybe a screenshot of your set up before hitting the send button would help us identify the issue.
