My club had a member whose names contains an accented letter that - It's been a while since I tried this, and I don't recall - either wasn't accepted in the member database or didn't print out on agendas. We just got another member with an accented name, and I thought I'd raise the issue.

I have seen discussion here about character sets, but I am not quite clear on specific steps to take to add names with accents to our members list or to make it so anyone that can print out agendas that show these names correctly.

I'd be grateful if someone would point me in the right direction.
For reference, the characters I hope to include are:
- the very common French é
- the less-common Russian š

FTH supports the charset=utf-8 which supports most languages and accents.

Thanks... I wonder why one of the members' names didn't print in the past... perhaps she had entered an identical-looking letter from another character set. In any case, these characters do work as would be expected... Many thanks.
