It would be wonderful if FTH could replicate the standard progress report wall chart as one of the role reports. That would finally put the kibosh on the FTH naysayers who insist on the wall charts as being better than tracking progress via FTH. ;)

The main challenge with this would be doing it in a way that allows it to be printed out in a large format.

If this wall chart report was produced as a spreadsheet, then it basically becomes our user's responsibility to figure out how to print it large. If we started with an already made up spreadsheet that the code just fills in, that could work. (I have such a spreadsheet.) That may be the best we could do with this, since we will not know what printers and or page sizes our users have available to them. I suspect that most would have a simple 8.5 x 11 (or A1) size printer available, at best.

We could also create a large format PDF of this as a report. That may have some possibilities if there is a way to print a PDF in pieces.

Lastly, we could try to do the slicing into HTML pages for printing, but this will be very difficult due to the very limited HTML printing capabilities. That approach could just end up being more effort than it is worth.

I think this is worth discussing some more and it is why I am putting in the forums for all to read. :)

YUP!
I would very much like this feature.
In my opinion right now we do not need to print it on a large format. We do have the Physical Wall Charts available from TMI. It is just a matter of being able to track everyones progress automatically (with some supervision from the VPE, of course)

just rememberthe ONLY valid tracking of a members performance is their completed and evaluated task signed off in their manual. Any information on FTH is just that information and should not be used to submit educational awards to Toastmasters International

Of course, that is why we need the VP Education's supervision.
Having the charts online would be an invaluable tool for assigning roles on the Agendas.
In an ideal world every club member would be proactive working towards their CC and CL simultaneously, but as it is right now we have to randomly assign roles a week in advance and then work around changes & cancellations :(
To be honest we haven't officially launched our toasthoast website yet (that will be later this month). Here is hoping than in the new executive's term we can make the switch from paper to the WWW!

Hi Steve

>> if there is a way to print a PDF in pieces.

Easy. The free Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has a Poster option that allows printing large format PDFs in standard page sizes - includes an overlap on the pages that make it easy to stick together
