Hi

Any chance of a full CSV extract of the Agenda data for a date range - i.e. all the captured details (including Former Member names ).

I work with Excel 2013, and with Power Query / Power Pivot and Power View, you can create some quick data manipulations and reports / dashboards.

Providing a simple, but comprehensive CSV extract should take all pressure off further requests for the development of additional reports, or report reformatting.

The CSV could also be used to import into an Access database - for those more comfortable in Access.

It could even be used for an single agenda - if you wanted an highly customised layout, and you didn't want to fiddle with formatting within this system ...

At some point I may add this... will not be until next year though. Also, would have to consider the possibility that people may want to re-import the info back into the system, which is harder to do than you may think. (import data has to be validated and cleaned up)

Hi

>> would have to consider the possibility that people may want to re-import the info back into the system

That is a separate requirement, and more complex as you point out. Coding is very different, so I don't think they should be linked.

Don't overcomplicate the export request by thinking about imports .. :)

Pity - I thought this could be quick to do.

You have most of the elements already in place for a CSV export. You already do a role export to Excel and HTML. Data range selection is already there ... Would probably require a new SQL statement, and reuse of a lot of your existing code.

I have to agree that an agenda csv export would require very little effort to implement and provide a huge benefit to clubs that have already established their "brand" incorporating agenda format.
The existing agenda is great to be able to have members login and choose roles so no change there.

I suggested this as an option nearly two years ago - so - has there been any movement on this?

I think it could add a lot of value to your system.

I am happy to help you test it if you have done some work on this.
