Dear Admins,

Would you kindly add a text field option please?

Similar to how you currently have the option of "This is a speech (select manual / add intro)" checkbox, please add a checkbox option called "Include a text input field"

Instead of asking for Project#, Title, and Description, FTH would simply ask for a text input (much like the Speech Title currently).

When we create roles for the Toastmaster of the Meeting and for the Word Master, we would allow whoever signs up for those roles to enter the Meeting Theme and the Word of the Day, respectively.

I kindly request that this information be included in the upcoming RSS Feed export feature too ;)

You guys are awesome. Thank you so much.

You can put the theme in the agenda header, or create a role called Theme and put the theme in the description.

There is no need for an extra text box.

Thank you for taking time to respond, Brian,

The beauty of it is for the Word Master to enter the WOTD, without giving away Agenda editing permissions to the Word Master.

Ted, it has been suggested before.

As we are all volunteers trying to fit our FTH commitments into our lives, I cannot promise you this will be added soon. It depends a lot on whether other people also want it (I think so) and whether I can find an elegant way to incorporate it. I do not make specific promises on future features.

Dear Brian and Steve,

I found 3 more threads on this topic - I believe the requested feature will be greatly appreciated by users of FTH:
support.toastmastersclubs.org/7-improvem...y-and-its-definition
support.toastmastersclubs.org/5-support-...ers-add-to-a-meeting
support.toastmastersclubs.org/5-support-...s-can-add-theme-wotd

B)

You must've built a relational table for Prepared Speeches with the following fields:
  1. Agenda# (key)
  2. Role Name (key)
  3. Manual/Speech/Time ID (populated from another table with speech project attributes)
  4. Speech Title (varchar)
  5. Speech Introduction (blob?)

;)

All we need to do is continue using the SAME table to record the data:
  1. Agenda# (key)
  2. Role Name (key)
  3. Manual/Speech/Time ID (hard code these 2 options: WOTD, Theme)
  4. Speech Title (varchar - store WOTD / Theme texts here)
  5. Speech Introduction (blob? Usage notes for WOTD, and/or abstract for the Theme)

Thank you for hearing me out.

Thank you for keeping this suggestion in your long list of requests.

DW and I have recently joined Toastmasters and we can appreciate all the work behind the scenes supporting thousands of users.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Hi , below is the code that we use in our club to include theme and WOTD in our agenda, if it may help.

<style type="text/css">table{
        border: 1px solid #D3D3D3;
    }
</style>
<table border="1" border-style="solid" style="width:100%">
	<tbody>
		<tr>
			<th rowspan="3" width="20%"><img src="https://tnc.toastmastersclubs.org/imageuploads/ti/tm-logo-small.jpg" /></th>
			<th align="center" bgcolor="#f1f3f4" colspan="3">TNC TOASTMASTERS CLUB</th>
		</tr>
		<tr>
			<td align="center" width="20%">DATE :</td>
			<td align="center" bgcolor="#f1f3f4" width="38%">ROOM :</td>
			<td align="center">1200 - 1300 hours</td>
		</tr>
		<tr>
			<td align="center" bgcolor="#f1f3f4" colspan="3">Theme : &nbsp;</td>
		</tr>
		<tr>
			<td width="20%">Word of the day</td>
			<td align="left" colspan="3">&nbsp;</td>
		</tr>
		<tr>
			<td bgcolor="#f1f3f4" width="20%">Word in a sentence</td>
			<td align="left" bgcolor="#f1f3f4" colspan="3">&nbsp;</td>
		</tr>
	</tbody>
</table>
