A couple of improvements for Treasurers would be great.

1. A Toastmaster's International only payment option for members that are remaining as members, but inactive in the club.
  • Options List of payments
  • Pay TI only, Pay Club Fees Only, Pay All

2. An option to pay via Paypal built-in that could be configured to the PayPal account.

We are limited in what we can do with the Paypal stuff, since Paypal defines much of the HTML for their buttons. The button codes are tied directly to people's PayPal account.

How about, not a button, but a link builder?

Enter the account for paypal, and it spits out a link to add to the invoice

Doubtful that would work. The key thing to consider is that you have to use Paypal to create the buttons, since they embed a random string in the resulting code that ties the button back to the Paypal account. It is the random string that is needed ... we cannot generate that... it must be gotten via the Paypal website for a specific account.

For example (from Mindful website)... the random string is the value="8HBNXBHMDAMX6" part:
<form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post" target="_top"><input name="cmd" type="hidden" value="_s-xclick" /> <input name="hosted_button_id" type="hidden" value="8HBNXBHMDAMX6" /> <input alt="PayPal - The safer, easier way to pay online!" border="0" name="submit" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/btn/btn_donateCC_LG.gif" type="image" /> <img alt="" border="0" height="1" src="https://www.paypalobjects.com/en_US/i/scr/pixel.gif" width="1" /></form>

Each button you use has a different random string tied to the account. If you even change the dollar values in Paypal drop downs, you have to regen the drop downs on the Paypal website (a real pain). Even if you use a link, you still need the random string.

I did look at trying to get around the rigid Paypal implementation stuff... I thought it would be easy; it isn't.
