It would be helpful for organizing files if more then one level of directories could be set up.

Currently, I store meeting minutes in File Manager. I created a Minutes directory by using the colon. It would be nice if I could set up subdirectories for Club Meetings and Executive Committee Meetings as well as separate directories for each year within those.

For example,

Minutes: Club Meetings: 2015: 2015-01-02

To create, in this case, a 3 level directory structure.

That is good!

Make that a request for an upgrade to Steve... I also have a minutes folder... Steve does listen to what others suggest, however, he goes by what is requested for and what has the most suggestions.

That may be one suggestion eventually to get done, but I do not know.... :0)

Let me interject another issue into files and directories.

In my opinion, a website should not become the sole repository of club documents. All it would take to "lose" all of your records is a well intentioned new admin to remove them because they seem outdated.

Your meeting minutes should also be maintained at club level, whether they are in hard copy or another storage device such as a disk or flash drive.

I would like to ask something related to this.

Is there anyway that we can restrict those in such a way that some files can be accessed only by club officers?

Toastmasters is supposed to be an open organization why would you prevent members from seeing anything?

From Linda Mann's suggestion, I second this. Subdirectories are fundamental for organizing files on a file server.
