I was shocked to see that my password for the forum was in plain text in the registration email. I can't see any benefit in sending the password like that.

Sorry if this is a request for the forum software and not for FTH.

1) You can change your password art any time by logging into the forum and editing your profile.

2) This is a 3rd party software we do not maintain it or modify the source code.

Thank you,

I'm not one to use the same password on different sites but most people do. I am afraid that the passwords are stored in plain text.

The footer of the forum states "Powered by Kunena Forum" and that runs on Joomla? I am not familiar with this CMS so I don't know if the registration piece is part of Kunena or Joomla. What version of Kunena is running? Version 5.x is open source so I am willing to research it to see if there is a setting or a template that can be changed to help make the site more secure.
