The Firefox browser has a new feature that alerts/warns you when you are logging in to a website that is not secure. It is described on this web page:

support.mozilla.org/t5/Protect-your-priv...n-Firefox/ta-p/27861

When we log into (user name and password) our club's FreeToastHost2 website to access member only areas, Firefox shows that warning. They also have information for developers, via links on the above web page, explaining how to correct this deficiency.

Your thoughts on this issue?

:)

Thanks,

John

I agree the issue needs to be resolved. The sites should use HTTPS.

When we log into (user name and password) our club's FreeToastHost2 website to access member only areas, Firefox shows a warning that the website is not secure.

"Firefox will display a grey lock icon with a red strike-through in the address bar, when a login page you’re viewing does not have a secure connection. This is to inform you that if you enter your password it could be stolen by eavesdroppers and attackers."

Any plans to fix this?

Thanks,

John
