We have our speech items on the agenda set to 8 minutes.
Some speeches take 5-7. Some take 10-15. These are shown on the Manual/Project dropdown.
but when you select a project that takes 10-15 minutes.. your agenda item is still set to 8.

It would be nice if prepared-speech agenda items had a window for the time duration, so the speaker could update the agenda-item duration as well as the manual/project, title, etc. This might be easier than fetching the time from the dropdown, and would allow the speaker to adjust it further if his speech had a different time from the manual project.

Can I help?

Thanks!

It is actually a little more involved than that, but I have a solution in mind.

When someone changes the time like you are suggesting, then the overall timeline will be thrown off. You may end up causing the meeting to run long.

The trick is to additionally allow a meeting agenda item to be designated as the item that gets its time adjusted to maintain the overall meeting timeline. (typically, this item would be Table Topics or similar)

This "floater" agenda item (duration could float/be adjusted) would be a new type of setting... Instead of a fixed duration, min and max durations would be specified for the floater.

When someone doesn't change the time, but does a 15-minute speech, then your meeting runs long, and nobody knows until it is too late. If the time is changed, the agenda will now show a long meeting, and somebody might notice.
Maybe there should be a limit set for the end of the meeting, so Agenda can alert the TMOD and/or the VPE. Then the TMOD or VPE could delete an unused speaking slot, or adjust something else.
A "floater" is a fabulous idea. I wouldn't have thought to ask for it.
