We were trying to create a custom group with some of our members (more than 3), that we wanted to be publicly accessible to be emailed from guests / potential members. Researching this, seems we FTH doesn't have a way to do this . . . we can only do it if there is one members in the group. It would be a nice feature if we could make a custom group that was publicly accessible.

For now, we will use the contact email address, which we have to limit to 3 of our members.

Our club number is 740544.

Thanks!

Thanks, but it is very unlikely that we will be doing this as we do not want to expose members to spam.

The feature as it stands right now was only created as a way to create custom email addresses for non-standard officer roles.

If you really need to do this, then you could create a dummy member that you use a gmail address for (or other address) that can forwarded from to the members.

Thanks Steve for the quick reply!

Though there are many other ways to accomplish this outside of FTH, I thought it might be a nice feature to add some flexibility to FTH email & group capability. Members already are exposed to spam, through the officer email addresses, as well as the contact list. When you are using online methods and email for recruiting, you get exposed to spam . . . it just comes with the territory. Seems like it should be the decision of the clubs and their members if they are willing for that exposure.

I appreciate your consideration for this feature.
