Steve's warning: " BTW... keep in mind that this will likely use a good bit of blue ink to print. ink = $$$"

I printed several copies of the new TI Printed Agenda Layout (Blue masthead using RGB and Epson Vivid) plus (Black/Greyscale, an Epson option) - and all 3 mastheads caused the paper to ripple because the ink saturating the paper (20 lb copy paper). Personally I like the new look! But I don't like the heavy use of color ink cartridge it entails to print a few temporary (1 time use) Agendas.

But it occurred to me that the Brand option allowed Greyscale TI logos plus "ray patterns". If so, why can't an approved Greyscale masthead be offered if might use less link? (I'm one of the few members of my club to have home printers, and I use the double-sided feature of my Epson Artisan 730 when printing 2-page agendas.

So if it can be approved by TI, why not create 2 TI Layout options - the current TI Layout (Blue) or a second TI Layout (Grey)?

BTW, in a related issue regarding my suggestion/;request to allow customizable "Meeting Agenda" so I could print Contest Meeting Agenda, Regular Meeting Agenda, or Open House Meeting Agenda (instead of the current Meeting Agenda), I devised a work around. Namely by changing the SAA opening meeting role title from "Call Meeting to Order ...." to "Call REGULAR Meeting to Order ....", "Call CONTEST Meeting to Order ...." and "Call OPEN HOUSE Meeting to Order ....". I can live with that since I doubt other clubs will want customized agenda titles anyway. So I won't create a second Improvement Suggestion for something that I may only use.

I am thinking of adding an option to the print regarding whether or not to include the meeting description text in the printout. I think it could have value to have that option for the standard FTH layout, also. Some of my club's agendas are long, and being able to omit the meeting description in some cases might be the difference between a 2 page (or double sided) agenda vs a 1 page one.

So, if I put the meeting description into the TM layout, there are 2 approaches that come to mind.
1) Put in right under the club name in the masthead in the white space there.
2) Put it above the agenda rows in the right column.

I realize these may seem like basically the same thing, but they are not. They differ in the amount of space available for the meeting description and whether there is a potential for the agenda rows to spill over to the next page.

As far as a grey-scale version of the TM layout agenda, that is easy. It is just a variation on what I already have. Just have to get the grey-scale masthead image...

I would like a option of no colour masthead, logo top left, top centered club name, then agenda description (optional), then roles (descriptions optional). then meeting notes (optional)

Club #3727552

I echo the other comments in regards to the ink used. I do really like the layout though, so perhaps even just shortening the height of the banner a bit would help save our ink.

I see comments on adding the Meeting Description, I'm not sure what all that would entail. For our club, we would like to have the Meeting Theme and we also actually like to have the location and times of the meetings as that helps when we conveniently leave extra agendas around. ;)

Thank you,

Several other thoughts occurred to me. (I apologize if I generated too many ideas.)

As I mentioned earlier, there is a lot of "white space" wasted (between the bottom of the horizontal mast and the tip of the TI logo) that is white background that Toastmasters symbols seem to have. The removed Club Mission (in the header of FTH template) might even fit on 2-3 lines, if text small enough. in that space. Or the club mission statement could be placed in 8pt Arial in the left margin area. I used to squeeze in that space also the club URL..

Under the Club Name/ number in the masthead, one could add the club's website URL.
Under the "Meeting Agenda" which could be made smaller, add an optional field for Theme - add Theme in the footer (Center)?

Attached is an OLD Agenda DOC file converted into PDF. (It was created in 2011 as a Word file, but with an Excel spreadsheet listing functions). Notice in the 1.5 inch left column all the information I crammed in there in various size fonts (officer names in Arial 10 Narrow Bold, club office titles in Arial 10 BOLD), meeting info (Arial 10 narrow), non-FTH website name (Arial 9 and Arial 9 Narrow), even the mission statement (Arial 10 bold). Notice also I had 6 pt spacing between officer's name; the new TI version spaces them wider. You may not be able to get fields, especiallly longer website URLs to fit; one can always add the club URL elsewhere, or even in the center of the footer?
Notice by placing the Grayscale masthead in the background, I was able to add my club name (and start date) in the "wasted" white space in Gray font color. (I don't know it there is possible to do with FTH.) Would this Grayscale image be usable to you?
