Some sites use this technique for passwords:
1) Display only the last characters of the password while hiding other characters with asterisks, thus confirming the user’s input as the password is typed in.
2) unmasking with a checkbox: medium.com/@yulianaz/better-password-mas...p-forms-eedbef09b657

Is this something you have considered. It would help those folks who are using IPADs or Mobile devices where the use of a notepad might be difficult.

OK, I think I get it now. I think you explained this, but I am going to feed this back to you to confirm my understanding is correct.
1) For the USER ID: If I start to type the E-mail, Name, or Username , a popup list will display and I can select the correctly typed user id
2) for the PASSWORD on a PC: it remains fully masked BUT there is a little EYE icon at the end of the password input field. If I type the password in, and click on the EYE icon, it will briefly display the password so I can see what I typed (and correct it if necessary) before I hit the 'authenticate/logon' button.

I didn't understand (see) the little eye button. It is very helpful.

Now I just have to remind members that if they work from a iPhone, the iPhone may default the first character to a capital letter, which may or may not match the logon id on the FTH site. The user may have to unclick the Caps On Key when entering the USER ID from an iPhone or Smart phone.
And the iPhone for some reason sometimes prompts you to enter a strong password. The user may have to hit ' Choose My Own Password' before they can start entering the password.
