I don't think Access Settings should be limited to having 3 people per item. I understand you may not have been part of a very large club before, however when your club gets quite large (80+ members), not only do you have officers, each officer has assistants or other people that assist with their job. There's no reason to limit the selection to 3 people per item.

Sharing passwords is certainly a solution, however I think it would be best and most secure if we could just have more than 3 people specified. If it's really that hard to allow as many as we want, allowing up to 5 would be helpful.

Ok. My original question is still unanswered though "Why are Access Settings limited to 3 people per item?" I don't understand the reasoning behind the limit.

That is how we designed it and how it will stay.

Sometime the answer is just that simple.

There are historical reasons why it is the way it is... we have debated this quite a bit and thought it through.
We are not going to support a "free-for-all" of access. There will be a limit and we have decided that the limit of 3 officers per area is sufficient.

We did an enhancement earlier this to add support for "Other Officers" to the functionality to support officers in training, but we are not going to change the 3 officer max.

BTW, the rationale for the 3 officer max is as follows: 1 primary officer, 1 backup officer, and one officer in training (or 2nd backup officer).

Each club needs to think carefully about who they will allow access to privileged and/or personal information--that is intentional and we are not going to change that.
