It was brought to my attention that our members can't see the speakers online project evaluation form and project description forms for review and to print. The only members you can see this details are only the club officers. Every club member should be able to see a every detail related to a speakers project

My first attachment is what I can see. The second attachment is what a club member can see. The views are different and I don't know why or how I can update. Please advise

The intention is for the speaker to print the evaluation form and bring it with them to the meeting.

Our club likes to take a "proactive" approach and we would like to utilize this section for our speech evaluators to take a look at the project and evaluation form "PRIOR" to the meeting not the day of. Can we please make this visible to all members?

This came to my attention today, too. I've always been an officer so didn't know what members could see.

One of my clubs is a hybrid. We meet monthly in person. We meet weekly online using video via Zoom. We do not have physical contact.

Also another question. Can the Toastmaster role for the meeting see the Evaluation form and Introduction text box?

Everyone just be patient, please. :pinch:

I am looking into this. It is not as simple as everyone probably thinks. The PDF file information is communicated to your browser's Javascript via the project drop-down. (The hidden pdf filenames are embedded in the project drop-down HTML.) When you select from the drop-down, that is what sets up the buttons.

In the scenarios you are talking about, there is no project drop-down since the speech was already selected by the speaker (a different member). Therefore, I have to come up with a different, reliable way for the server to send the correct PDF filenames to your browser's JavaScript for the situations where we can show the buttons, and sort out the correct JavaScript logic to trigger the button display.

Funny, how just last year everyone was so stoked that we added any buttons at all to access the Pathways forms. LOL... Never satisfied, are we? :P

PLEASE do not misunderstand. We are VERY happy to have the button to print the evaluation form inside the agenda.

As a matter of fact the only way I found out that a non-officer couldn't see the button is when I was mentoring someone to use that button rather than try to fumble around in Pathways looking for an evaluation form for a path they are not registered for (someone the are evaluating online videoconferencing via Zoom).

Long story short...THANK YOU!

So I made some updates to allow the Pathways project resource buttons to show for speech information entered by someone other than the person logged in. Please take a look.

LindaV & lgriffeth:

I put some of my spare time into updating this that I really do not have to spare. All of us supporting FreeToastHost are volunteers who are committed to seeing FreeToastHost continue to be available and work well for all of our users. We depend on actual, respectful input and feedback from our users to let us know we are making a difference and not just wasting our time here.

If this button update I just did is working for you now, please let us know. You do not have to post anything extensive--just let us know briefly that you have tried it out and it is working for you.

Yes this has been tested out by our members who can now see the updates you made. I did reply to say thank you. Did you not see that? Your response is a bit abrupt and very unprofessional. I didn't say anything disrespectful to you and remained very professional throughout this entire dialogue. I appreciate what you did and did hit the thank you button. I was simply following instructions to submit a requests via this platform. How would I know you all were volunteered for this? Please don't take your frustration out on me. I did nothing wrong. Again, thank you for what you did. I do appreciate it.

Steve,
It works great!
I'm gleeful and a tad surprised you were able to adjust this so quickly. Wow. I don't doubt you have a nearly endless wish list of requested items, and some of them less important or specific to only a select few.

I actually had two separate conversations about this today, in two groups. Tomorrow it will be my distinct pleasure to follow-through and say the Eval button is available to all. {smiles}

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are making a positive difference in the lives of people you've never met, but have common goals in Toastmasters.

You're the best!
