Please reconsider adding a free text field to the Toastmaster and Grammarian sign up slots to capture Theme and WOTD. I can see this has been asked before and the reply was that others in the club could amend headers etc to include it.

HOWEVER - this still doesn't encourage the people signing up in those roles to note their response down in the first place. Yes of course they can update the notes but too often they do not, and then others have to chase up and nag and it simply introduces more work for others in the club that this fix could really help with. If the sign up process could at least prompt the roleholder to give the detail needed (like they do with a speech title) it would make it much more likely that it would be entered at signup.

PLEASE reconsider - I would hope to make the process simpler and more self sufficient to encourage people to sign up for roles. I fear too many newer members avoid this as they don't have to time to follow up so much detail and its harder to get newer members to take that step. At least having that info readily available up front reminds people that it is the responsibility of THAT role, and also lets everyone know what they chose.

A further nice to have would be a link on the sign up slot - to a checklist or other document (maybe the existing TI roles document) that details the 'standard' main duties of that specific role. This wouldn't appear on the actual agenda but again would help newer members feel more aware of what they need to do and be more willing to sign up to hold a role that is new to them as its less mysterious. Yes this info is available on the TI website and club officers can educate and help and encourage their newer members - but any opportunity to give them more info could help get them more involved in their club meetings and hopefully more likely to achieve their goals/remain in TI and the club.
