Hello!

I'm Leslie Davis club 2755 katy.toastmastersclub.org

Recently we had a situation where we needed to reach our members as fast as possible and we had limited options to accomplish that task.

My question is can there be a second email for people that is specifically labeled meeting update or something along those lines.  The email address I would like to put in there would be formatted as the phonenumber@service provider. This would send a text message to the person.

We had an incredibly dangerous storm bearing down on us (very little warning) at a time when most of our members would be preparing to come to the meeting. We needed to reach everyone as quickly as possible and only had email - which was not very effective.

If we could add this one email option it would really provide a layer of communication (what toastmasters is all about) and safety for our members.

Thank you!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Leslie Davis

I'd suggest you use some other application for that.  Our club set up a WhatsApp group for urgent/quick communications.

Sms gateways cost, and FTH does not have the funding to pay for another form of spam.
