I really like the convenience of automated agenda printing and would like to see additional customization ability.
Ideally clubs could have access to a template that, like mail merge, allows fields to placed and formatted within a template.

Are you planning anything like this?

Thanks,
Dave

I want to see this as well.
We had three ways to produce agendas in the old system;
1) I had built a "DARTS" template and used the DARTS system to generate the printed agenda. This worked nicely, but DARTS is not available in FTH 2.0.
2) We had an Excel spreadsheet (which I later posted on Google Docs for club use) originally created by one of our members where we could simply copy the grid of upcoming meeting rosters and it would plug roles in for the printed agenda. This was very easy to accomplish because FTH 1.0 had a grid of upcoming meetings that could be easily copied into a spreadsheet.
3) We had a spreadsheet agenda template that required typing in the members for each role.

In these, we had several things that we used to include on our printed agendas.

1) A preview of upcoming meeting rosters (this was not possible with DARTS, but was very easy using the spreadsheet and the grid of meeting rosters from FTH 1.0).
2) A list of club officers (this can be recreated in FTH 2.0, by adding a final item on the meeting roster with this info, but it would not be automatically updated if the officers change).
3) Meeting notes at the bottom of the agenda, including a list of who will be absent. (Notes could be inserted with the spreadsheet system, and could be parsed out by a modification I made to the DARTS system).

I have also seen clubs with very customized agendas, including listing the word of the week on the agenda.
The point of mentioning these items, is that there are many ways a club might like to customize their agenda, so anything that could help in doing that, would be a great bonus to using FTH 2.0.

+1 for this suggestion please.

Everyone is happy with our existing manual (Word) agenda. I've managed to put together a reasonable lookalike in the default agendas, but it is not possible to change the font size - it's too small. A workaround, perhaps, would be to place a line between agenda items in the print output - is this possible? I can't see that it is.

All the effort that has gone in to incorporating the agenda into the new site, which is a great addition, would appear to have been let down by this lack of functionality. If members are not happy with the new agenda format, they will be less inclined to log in and participate in the creation of the agenda.

While I don't want to appear ungrateful for something that has been provided for free, is there any chance that more customization of the print output of the agenda can be looked at as a future enhancement?

Thanks,

Ramondo.

I also think this would be good. I have a Word template document with built in menu to open a built in form that allows names and speech information to be typed or pasted in. Duration of roles could be adjusted. When the form was closed it calculates the start times off all roles working from both start and end times towards the Table Topics segment which had what time was left. Then the Toastmaster can dress up the agenda to match the theme the selected.

The website agendas are quick and convienent, but don't have any way to easily customize them. If there was a way to export to Word, or Excel for some, it would be a big improvement that would allow quick and easy generation with the option of easy customizing.
