Appears I keep getting this same bug - like groundhog day.

I tried sending an e-mail to an officer list (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and I get an automated reply from toastmastersclubs.org saying I am NOT authorized to send e-mail from my e-mail address.

I just checked and my FTH support site login has this same e-mail.

So what gives ? That same e-mail it is complaining about below in the text is the SAME e-mail I have entered in my FTH support site profile.

You do not have the right permissions to send an e-mail to this address from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Be sure your "From" address in your e-mail client is the same as your address in your ToastmastersClubs.org member profile.

I hope that we are not limited to sending e-mail to other club execs ?

You see, being in an advanced club, one of our advanced club services is assisting other clubs to get their website up on xxx.toastmatersclubs.org

So today I sent a test e-mail to an officer list (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and it bounced with the error in this post.

Terry,

I have reviewed some of your past posts on here. It would be appropriate and simpler for you when posting on here if you were to create your forum message signature including the club(s) you a member of/supporting. See my signature below for details on how to do that.

From your past posts, I would first like to acknowledge you for all your contributions to other clubs to get them up and going on FTH2.

However, despite that, there is still a stipulation that you must be listed as a member in a club (in the FTH Membership list-Admin Console) to sent emails to the email lists for a particular club. This is intentional to prevent spamming of the lists by non club members.

What I would recommend is to temporarily get the admin password of the club(s) you are supporting, and then make yourself a member of the club temporarily. (They can change the admin password back later.) I would suggest that when you are finished supporting the club, tell the club admin to set your information to be a Guest or Former Member. That will segregate your contact information from the rest of the membership while allowing them to retain it.

Terry to use the members-nnn or officers-nnn you need to be a member of that club, you are not a member of 962400

You can use the president-nnn, vped-nnn etc to email executives from other clubs as we do not restrict those alias forwarders

Thank you,

This is another example of where having an email whitelist feature would be helpful... ;)

Good Idea.

TDK

P.S. Great how FTH is designed to prevent this spamming.

Don't know why the 2 club websites in my Sig file do not come up as active links.

Yours does Steve in your signature - I followed the same format.

Terry,

When you entered your club URLs, did you place http:// in front of them?
