As VPE, maintain a database for tacking our club member's club activity. I'm able to generate a report that shows me what roles have been filled, on what date and which projects are complete (by virtue of the activity recorded). The report also details which roles are outstanding to complete a CC or CL. Is there such reporting in FTH?

FTH can produce reports from the historical agendas of all roles and speeches done by a member. Of course you must make sure your agendas are valid.

Sness,

FTH keeps track of how many times each person completed which role, but can only track the information entered. Go back in after the meeting and edit your agendas to reflect who actually filled the role. Speech and/or leadership credits earned outside the club would not show up on your report, so those will need to be calculated manually.

I like the idea of being able to see the progress by manual, but (in my humble opinion) there are too many human variables to make that feasible. Multi-club members could turn in designations under other clubs, but your records would still show that designation incomplete.

Remember the only valid record of what a member has done is their Evaluated and SIGNED manual.

FTH tracking (when kept updated) also enables the VP Ed to "rebuild" when the member loses their original signed manual. :woohoo:

I agree with with Brian is stating--however, there are obviously benefits to using the FTH2 role history, particularly for the VPE to keep track of member progress at the club level. You just need to be very careful about deleting agendas...

If the role history needs to be "corrected" for speeches given outside a normal meeting (e.g., a contest speech), the simplest approach is just to add a blank agenda for the appropriate date and then add one role to it (e.g., Speaker #1) and which member did it. I would probably also put some type of explanation in the role description (e.g., "Role history correction for contest speech given outside club meeting.") to prevent any future confusion.

Since the role history report gets created from the agendas in the system, this approach adds an "agenda" for the sole purpose of correcting the role history.
