FTH Support:

Thank you for the web site. We use it constantly, and appreciate the tool.

However, over the last couple of days, most of my members have been unable to open the site at all.

We are a corporate club, sponsored by Cox Enterprises. We have a campus with 4.5 buildings, and many separate networks that belong to Cox child companies. One building has no trouble, the rest seem to be unable to connect. We get a 10006 error in the IE browser. Cannot display, etc, etc.

Please advise.

Thank you for the response. However, after deleting Temporary Internet Files, and deleting the three Cookies for Toastmasters, nothing changed. What do we look at next?

Darin,

I can load your club website just fine. Therefore, it is something on your end.

Can you provide us your IP Address? whatismyipaddress.com/
(In case the FTH2 server is blocking you.)

What version of Internet Explorer are you running?

Can you try running a different browser (e.g., FireFox, Chrome, etc.) to see if that makes a difference?

Also, I did a Google search for "10006 error in the IE browser".
It looks like there are a lot of things that can cause this.
You might need to contact your IT support on this.

Thank you for the help.

66.6.147.80 is our IP. However, to my chagrin, some of my people are able to connect. I don't know if anything is blocked.

For the most part, we've been using this website for months or years, and for myself and several of our members, nothing has changed on the browser or the Win 7 PC recently - at least nothing overt.

We're running IE 8 as our company standard. Again, that's been consistent for a while now.

I will ask around about Firefox and Chrome, but some of my working users are on IE.

Darin,

If some of your people can connect from that IP, then it is probably not a server block, but Brian would have to check that on our end.

Have you done any changes to your website recently? We have seen occasional issues in the past with "dead references" to things like deleted photos that sometimes cause problems... In other words, the case of a club website admin deleting a photo from the server, but a reference to it still exists in a webpage.

When I did the Google search on the error number you mentioned, I did see some references to possible browser corruption or things that would warrant a IE browser repair, reinstall, or settings reset. That is why I mentioned possibly contacting your IT support in my prior post.

IP 66.6.147.80 has been identified as a misbehaving IP address and listed on www.autoshun.org/
You will need to get your IT folks to find out why it was listed.
