Hi

Is it possible to include an excel spreadsheet in our club website.

Our club Three Kings 5991 in NZ.

The attached spreadsheet is our old roster, which has formatting so that by clicking into an available field a drop down list appears of the members, making it easy to add members names for roles, instead of typing them out each time.

We have always had to turn the roster into a gif file and add the roster as a photo. It would be so much easier if the website allowed excel to be used as a live document so that our new VD Ed could log in and enter the details online instead of having to upload the roster as a photo each time.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions on how to get the Excel roster uploaded we would love to hear them

Cheers Leon

You might want to look into Google Drive Spreadsheets.

Import your Excel sheet into Google Drive Spreadsheet, then publish the spreadsheet. The published version will be read only, but can be put into a frame on your website. You can put an edit link to the Google Drive spreadsheet editor on the same page to give you a way to edit. You cannot, however, edit the spreadsheet in place in the embedded frame on your club website.

Leon,

What exactly is the purpose of the spreadsheet? You mentioned roles, roles for a Toastmaster meeting or roles like VP Ed.
Roles for a TM meeting you can utilize the meeting agenda; for roles like VP Ed and everyone else you can login as site admin, launch admin console, select membership management, add member per instructions. Once done, if not already logged in as member, do so as only way I have seen it work. Private Member directory should appear. Everyone that is a member should see it.

Hi

In your answer from the previous email, it maybe impossible to achieve the outcome I am looking for, because of the embedded information. If it was, life would be so much easier for our VP Ed.

Hopefully the attachment will show the planned roster several months ahead, with the screenshot of the drop down box to easily allocate a member to a specific role.

If you visit our club website, you can see the roster, which is a gif, and so not able to be edited online, which is the purpose we want.

You are basically duplicating functionality that already exists in the FreeToastHost 2 Agenda features.

The roster you are showing can be produced with the existing functionality using the Multiple Meeting Sign-up sheet--it doubles as a look ahead roster.

I really think you should get familiar with the existing agenda features. They will save you a lot of time vs what you are doing now.

Relevant docs:
support.toastmastersclubs.org/docs/admin...ting-agenda-settings
support.toastmastersclubs.org/faq#moofaqCat-10

However, if you are not interested in learning the agenda features, you could always upload a protected excel spreadsheet (password protected from edits) to the file manager, and put a link to it in the menu. No GIF required.

Hi Steve

I appreciate your help and have I've had a go at setting up the agenda using the new meeting agenda. This is the same as our excel spread sheet, but in single weeks.

You're recommendation has put us back on track, thank you

Now the agenda when I print it takes 2 pages as we have 6 speakers per meeting and looks boring. Sorry, its plane and basic.

Our club is known as the " Fun and Friendly Club" and we need / want a printed agenda that sets our club apart from the rest of the Auckland City.. An agenda that encourages, inspires members and guests to attend the meetings.

How can we now get the agenda from the current format into a printable page that looks exciting and fun.
Our club is the largest in Auckland NZ with over 40 members, and for the past couple of years have been the first club in NZ and possibly the world to achieve the 10 DCP, And we still want to improve.

I am not a tech webmaster, but I am able to solve most web/network/computer problems when put in the right direction, so please advise ways to input the agenda into a better printable/presentable format

Your help has been great, and over time we hope to create the best toastmasters website in NZ.
If you know of really good USA websites to view please let me know,
cheers Leon
